Dee Dee Helfenstein

Dee Dee Helfenstein is executive vice president and chief strategic growth officer for SAIC. In this role she leads the company’s Strategic Development organization, which includes the Solutions and Technology Group, corporate strategy, government affairs, and business development operations. 

Helfenstein’s primary responsibilities include driving organic growth and SAIC’s market leadership strategy by aligning capabilities with customer needs and market opportunities. In her role, Helfenstein leads the company’s efforts to bring innovative, differentiated solutions to our customers, and deliver digital transformation to the U.S. government. 

Prior to joining SAIC in 2020, Helfenstein was an executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and led the Solutions Business Team responsible for the company’s product portfolio. 

Helfenstein’s career includes more than 20 years of commercial and government consulting experience across a number of industries, including financial services, healthcare, transportation, citizen services, defense, and commercial.

Prior to her 22-year tenure with Booz Allen Hamilton, she worked at SmithKline Beecham, Acuson Corporation and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

Throughout her career, Helfenstein has received numerous awards and recognitions, including Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching (2016), Power Women of DC Tech (2018) and Federal Computer Week’s Fed 100 Award (2019).

 Helfenstein is a board member of Capital Partners for Education and the Vinetta Project. She is also on the board of advisors for Center for Ethical Leadership in the Media. 

Helfenstein graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a B.S. in psychology.
