Carolyn McGourty Supple

Carolyn M. Supple is a strategic leader at the intersection of media, technology and AI. Currently at Google, she drives chief marketing officer thought leadership for the global ads business. She previously served as a senior advisor to Google.org and as head of public affairs and customer engagement for Google Public Sector. Carolyn co-founded the Center for Ethical Leadership in Media and led its 2023 acquisition by the University of Texas at Austin, where she is advisory board chair. Previously, she was a technology strategist and management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. She began her career as an ABC News journalist, where she worked on “ABC World News Tonight” and “The Barbara Walters Specials,” and helped launch a national broadcast on energy and the environment. Carolyn holds a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor’s of science from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California.
